Privacy Policy

Your style is personal. Your information is too. This policy explains what HueMousse handles, why we handle it and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

HueMousse is a personal colour, wardrobe and outfit styling service. In this policy, “HueMousse”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the team responsible for the HueMousse app and website. You can contact us at privacy@huemousse.com.

2. Information we handle

Information you provide

  • Account details, such as your email address, display name, profile photograph and sign-in provider.
  • Style information, including saved palettes, colour preferences, wardrobe metadata, outfit records, fit-check results and favourites.
  • Photographs and content you choose to analyse, save or publish to the Community.
  • Communications you send to support, privacy or our waitlist.

Information generated through use

  • App settings, subscription status, feature usage and locally stored preferences.
  • Technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, diagnostics and network identifiers made available by our service providers.
  • Approximate or chosen location information when needed to provide weather-aware styling, depending on how you use the feature and your device permissions.

3. Photos and wardrobe data

HueMousse is designed to be local-first. Outfit and wardrobe photographs used for private styling may remain on your device, while related metadata can be stored locally or associated with your account. We do not publish a photograph merely because you analyse it.

If you deliberately create a Community post, the selected image and its post details are uploaded so other users can view them. Community content may include your display name, handle, profile image, chosen swatches and engagement information.

4. How and why we use information

  • To provide palettes, wardrobe tools, outfit suggestions, fit checks and personalised product features.
  • To create and secure accounts, synchronise eligible data and restore your experience across devices.
  • To operate Community features, moderation, favourites and public profiles.
  • To process subscriptions, restore purchases and manage usage limits.
  • To provide notifications you request and launch communications you sign up for.
  • To maintain security, diagnose faults, prevent misuse and improve reliability.
  • To comply with legal duties and protect users, HueMousse and others.

Depending on the activity and where you live, we rely on performance of our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving HueMousse, and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent through device settings or by contacting us, although this does not affect earlier processing.

5. Services we use

We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that help operate HueMousse, including:

  • Google Firebase for authentication, database and eligible Community image storage.
  • Google and Apple when you choose their sign-in services.
  • RevenueCat and app stores for subscription and purchase management.
  • Google Mobile Ads where advertising is shown.
  • Expo services for app infrastructure and notifications.
  • Weather data providers when you request weather-aware styling.

These providers process information under their own terms and may operate in countries outside yours. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers.

6. Retention and security

We keep account information while your account is active and retain other information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, to resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal requirements. Different records may have different retention periods.

We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and protect access to your device.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, and to receive certain information in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.

UK users can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To make a request, email privacy@huemousse.com. We may need to verify your identity.

8. Younger users

HueMousse is not designed for children under 13. If local law requires parental or guardian consent for a younger person to use an online service, that consent must be obtained. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as HueMousse develops. We will change the date above and provide additional notice where a change materially affects how we use personal information.
